BhT kobsurt Dil khush hotA h siR ki poetry parh kAr kash Mn unko dhk bi sktA
When you read such poetry, you suddenly realize, how improvised the other poets are. .. Munir, from Hoshiarpur where I spent a year at University College and he passed on,to the other world, from Lahore, the town I so wish to see , to recite his unparalleld
Poetry…. ” Khayal tha Majhay jissay,
Khayal meiN Mila mujhay…
Marey saval ka Javab
Saval meiN mila mujhay ………..
He is missed
Not only in Lahore but entire Punjab
Of yester years
This Jut Sardar misses him in New Orleans….
Bali Mangat
literary legends like munir niazi , iqbal, faiz, etc will always live on in hearths of people through their timeless poetry … and yes poetry has no borders 🙂
thank you and welcome 🙂
Reblogged this on Khawaja Ali Arshad and commented:

Hey ! I’m looking for a translation. Really hard to find
translating poetry is a very difficult thing, imho , it rarely retains the beauty and expressions and deep/hidden meanings of the original:
here is a amateur translation I found after googling, its only of the last 4 stanzas:
the ways were hard, also
the sorrows collared my neck, as well
the townsfolk were harsh, also
death wish, I had, as well
